Working draft of Belovia's privacy policy. Operator legal details (sole trader / LLC, address) will be added after entity registration. Data requests: admin@belovia.date or support@belovia.date.

1. Who we are

This Policy explains how Belovia (belovia.date) collects, uses, and protects personal data of users of our Christian dating platform.

2. Data we process

Account data: email, hashed password or Google ID, name, profile photo (if provided via Google).
Profile data: birth date, gender, city, optional church, bio, interests, photos, and prayer topics you choose to share.
Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, security logs, session cookies.
Communications: verification emails, support messages.
Location (with consent): approximate browser location only to suggest nearby cities — we do not run continuous tracking without a clear need.

3. Why we process data

creating and maintaining your account;
showing profiles and dating features;
email verification (OTP), security, fraud prevention;
service-related communication;
product improvement and legal compliance.

Legal bases (where applicable): contract performance (Terms), consent, legitimate interest in service security, and legal obligations.

4. Cookies & sign-in

Authentication uses a secure httpOnly session cookie required for Login / Register. We do not currently use third-party advertising analytics; if that changes, we will update this Policy.

5. Sharing with third parties

Google — if you sign in with Google OAuth (processed under Google's policies).
Hosting / infrastructure — servers hosting Belovia (including EU VPS) and mail on belovia.date.
Other users see profile data to the extent you make it public in the Service.
We do not sell personal data. Disclosure may occur when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Retention

We keep data while your account is active and as needed for security and legal obligations. You may request deletion; some logs may be retained for a limited time for security.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your data. Contact admin@belovia.date. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, hashed passwords, access controls). No method of transmission is 100% secure.

9. Children

Belovia is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. The "Updated" date above will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
